Chamaeleo dilepis
By nature it seems to be a lime green colour. It is about 20 cm long and that includes the tail. The bark on the tree has very large cracks an that might make it look bigger.
@Jellis Well I am certainly less confident about my suggestion than you seem to be about yours :-). I somehow overlooked the second photo (how is that possible! - Was it added today?). While the molting skin atop the other features didn't clinch it for me in the Wikipedia link, the side markings do look pretty much like those on the flapneck in your link. If all else fails, consult Project Noah http://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/762... Now that looks much more like it :-)
Plus I looked at the link to the Dwarf and the head shape does not match what is in this spotting, but others do. The lateral markings don't show in the Dwarf as in the full size South African. The markings look like little stones or bricks along the side of the chameleon.
Did anyone read the link I put in my comment. I know it's from 2008 but it mentions about how the numbers and species have lessen over the years.
My earlier comment today did not make it due to connectivity problems. I suggested this genus because it contains several species some reaching up to 7 inches total length. I initially asked about TL in my very first comment so I am concerned about that but if we use bark as a proxy for total length then we need to know something about the tree species's bark, and also about the camera perspective. So I am not 100% sure about my suggestion which is offered to stimulate others to chime in on this and come to a consensus :-)
