Pedicularis groenlandica

Description:

Vertical spike of pinkish-purple flowers, each of which looks much like an elephant's head right down to the ears, trunk, and lower lip. Usually grow in marshy areas at high altitude.

Habitat:

Subalpine meadow along marshy stream
