Eurasian Hoopoe

Description:

Also known as Common Hoopoe. Mainly rufous-orange to rufous-buff, with striking black and white wings and tail, black tipped fan like crest which is usually held flat, and down curved bill. Broad, rounded wings and like giant butterfly in flight. Voice: a repetitive poop, poop, poop

Habitat:

Found this bird in a garden of a resort located in a place 2240 meters above sea level.

Hoopoe is the national bird of Israel.
