Not sure on species, but it's a large bush that fruits with bunches of red berries every Winter.
Open woodlands
Alice - yes, they eat the berries. Large flocks of birds (mostly Waxwings and Robins) will descend on the bush and strip them clean within a week.
Do the birds eat the berries.? Beautiful bush encased in ice.
That makes this spotting even more precious then! :)
It's very rare here in Georgia. We have ice like this maybe once every decade.
Winter beauty trapped in ice! This happened in WA last winter when we had a big snow storm and freezing rain.
