Description:

Trumpet Creeper is a large and vigorous deciduous woody perennial vine, notable for its showy trumpet-shaped flowers.

Habitat:

It is native to woodlands and riverbanks of the southeastern United States. This one was photographed in east-central Georgia at the Phinizy Swamp Nature Park near Augusta (Richmond County), GA.

Notes:

It's also known as Trumpet Vine, Cow Itch Vine, or Hummingbird Vine. It can cause skin irritation to some people.
