Freckled Hawkfish

Paracirrhites forsteri

Description:

Not really sure which fish this is. Probably a juvenile trout (grouper/cod). Found on the outer reef sitting on some old coral on a wall. Thought it was a new hawkfish for a moment until I zoomed in on the face.

Nice one MarinusDominus. I was thinking hawkfish by the way it was perching but I couldnt find a reference in my book. New species for me, cheers.
