Great Mormon Butterfly (Male)

Papilio memnon

Description:

His wing span was approximately 4.25 inches or 10.75 cm wide.

Habitat:

These caterpillars devoured the citrus leaves I fed them.

Notes:

Caterpillar went into its cocoon or chrysalis on November 4th, and came out on November 23rd, 2012. It should be noted that the male and female cocoons or chrysalis, are different colors and patterns, yet still are approximately the same size and shape.
