A beautiful Eel species, always being targeted by Aquarium fish smuggler or trader.

Habitat:

Coastal reef top , crests with clear water, from 5 to 50 meter deep.

Blue ribbon eels are hermaphrodites, with males changing color from blue to yellow as they reverse sex to become females.
