Barred Mudskipper

Periophthalmus argentilineatus

Description:

Mudskippers have amazing adaptation, they could breathe through their skin, just like frogs and salamanders. They can see more clearly on land than in the water. They have dermal cups to keep their eyes moist, this makes them the only fishes can blink! And they also can hear through the air. The pectoral fins can be used for swimming in the water, walking on the sand, jumping from rock to rock, or even for climbinga tree!

Habitat:

When I was in the dock, I found this Mudskipper was also waiting for the sunset.. :D

Notes:

My favorite fish!! About 10cm, carnivor..
