Description:

This is a female Western Bluebird, so her colors are very muted compared to a male's. They are blue on the back and rusty on the breast. They are told from the Eastern Bluebird by their blue throats, as the rust on an eastern extends onto the throat.

Habitat:

Scrub oak on lower slopes of mountain.
