I think this is a type of migratory locust? Because of the hind legs... but I don't really know much and would welcome input!

Hi Jocelyn, I'm not an expert but I'm thinking it might be a bark-mimicking grasshopper (Coryphistes ruricola), possibly a nymph. Check out these resources and see what you think.
