Thank you Aaron, I have lived in this area of Ohio my entire life but have never seen this caterpillar until this year. It was simply lovely. :-)

Nice spotting, Tammy. This caterpillar is known by the common name "hickory horned devil." Despite their ominous appearance, they're harmless. :-)
