Cuban Tree Frog

Description:

Phylum: Chordata Class: Amphibia Order: Anura Family: Hylidae The Cuban tree frog, is an amphibian native to the Caribbean region, of the Western Hemisphere. It is the largest tree frog, in North America. They range in size from 3 to 5.5 inches. It is a nocturnal, tree-dwelling frog, and it is known to eat almost anything, that will fit in its mouth. It has rough, warty skin. It's toepads, are much larger, than those of other tree frogs. It varies in color, from olive-brown or bronze, to gray or grayish-white. Cuban tree frogs, secrete a toxic mucus from there skin. Cuban tree frogs, will typically sleep above ground during the day. During the night, they forage for insects, around sources of artificial light. The color of this frog, was different shades of brown. It had large, bulging eyes. It's eyes were black and gold in color. It had warty skin. It had two front legs, and two rear legs. This frog was alive, and able to move. Amphibian: Amphibians, are a diverse and exciting class of animals, that include: frogs, toads, salamanders, newts, and caecilians.

Habitat:

This Cuban tree frog, was resting next to the front door, on the outside of my house.

I went outside at 7:00 a.m. in the morning. I saw a Cuban tree frog, resting, right next to the front door, on the outside of my house. This Cuban tree frog, was resting right below, an abandoned, Mud Daubers nest, on the outside of my house. The color of this frog, was different shades of brown. It had large, bulging eyes. It's eyes, were black and gold in color. It had warty skin. It had two front legs, and two rear legs. This frog was alive, and able to move.
