this wonderful plant had a purple flower, and the petals reminded me of a windmill, it has normal, slightly spade shaped leaves.
found on a trail on the side of a trail through some brush in my front yard, it was growing in a large group of what looked like the same plant, but this was the only one that had a bloom.
the first picture had a flash, that's why there is a slight color difference.
