This species is commonly known as the "Atlantic Blue Crab", "Chesapeake Blue Crab", or just "Blue Crab". They can be found in both the Pacific & Atlantic Oceans, however, they are more common in the Atlantic.

a couple of kids found this crab. They watched it while I took a few photos, then it walked away.
