Palystes castaneus
Palystes castaneus is a species of huntsman spider found in South Africa. It is common from Cape Town to Heidelberg, Western Cape, especially in forested areas. In scrub outside forested areas, it is replaced by Palystes superciliosus. It occurs mainly on plants, where it hunts insects. It has a body length of 17–22 mm.
Found in our garden at night!
I believe she is eating an earwig. Fun!

Thank you for the info Johan, ill surely keep an eye out for the nest!
That looks like a pregnant female. Check around your garden for a ball of leaves wrapped in silk. Size, about a golf ball. See such a photo on the link below http://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/171...
Thank you Satyen and Patty!
Amazing series!
Nice flowers and spiders in your garden and very nice series of pictures too; I particularly like the forth picture but you really get to imagine the spider moving along the plants stem by looking at the whole series. Great spotting and greetings Smith´s zoo. =)
