Dark Fishing Spider

Dolomedes tenebrosus

Description:

Large Spider with a pale to dark brown colour with several chevron markers and lighter stripes around its legs.

Habitat:

On the side of a building near a large deciduous forest.

Notes:

Observed crawling very late in the afternoon on a building near a basement. Nearby is a large deciduous forest. Nearest water is about 500 yards away. Confirmed on Discover Life.

My money is definitely on Dolomedes, which is quite often found far from water. I think you're on the right track with D. albineus. :-)
