Green Milkweed Vine, Pearl Milkweed

Matelea reticulata

Description:

Twining, climbing vine to15 feet. Soft, hairy, perennial somewhat sticky to touch. Flowers are pale green, star shaped, with darker green netlike veination and a small pearly dot in the center of the star. Leaves heart shaped. Seed pods are long, slender, and spiny.

Habitat:

Wildlife habitat yard on Belton Lake.
