mimosa pudica
Beautiful flowers that grew in the apparen weed that was growing around. According to wikipedia this "perennial herb [are] often grown for its curiosity value: the compound leaves fold inward and droop when touched or shaken, re-opening minutes later. The species is native to South America and Central America, but is now a pantropical weed."
With touch sensitiveness water gather to tip side (this action/movement is quick) and leaf bends after some time water return to its normal place (this action/movement is slower) and leaf look like normal.
and, what happens to the water level when you touch it? Are those two things related or does the leaves also move due to water level variation?
@suhas94 you should mention where it is called with local ID or name. This plant is well distributed across the world and every botanical garden.
I didn´t know that its "compound leaves fold inward and droop when touched or shaken, re-opening minutes later." Interesting. Which is also interesting regarding the fact that the flower is called "touch me not"....
