In Costa Rica called Aciote. Scientific name is Bixa orellana. It is still a common and natural food coloration agent called Annatto, which is used for the famous cheeses Edamer and Babybel. You will never see my famous Swiss cheese with such a color! ;-)... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Annatto
