Tawny Frogmouth

Description:

Tawny Frogmouth parents and two chicks. We watched them hatch and fly the coop. They nest here every year.

Habitat:

Eucalyptus tree - messy nest

Notes:

Extraordinary thing to watch the parents teach the birds to fly and hunt. They eat mainly insects and hunt at night.
