Steatoda grossa
t's a rich, brown spider with white line along the front of the abdomen. The top of the abdomen has white spots. I was unable to get a shot of the pattern due to its location.
Above leaf litter on the underside of an overhanging rock in the backyard. "Imported from Europe; In North America it has now been found in states along the east and west coasts as well as those bordering the Great Lakes. Specimens have also been collected in Colorado. It's also considered a cosmopolitan species and is found in other countries all over the world." - BugGuide
"The bite of this spider might produce symptoms that are similar but much less severe than those of a black widow bite. In some cases blistering may form at the site of the bite along with physical discomfort that lasts for several days." - BugGuide

Thank you Maria! NatralList, this was confirmed to be S. grossa. I'd only seen all black one's in the yard before but this one isn't fully mature yet. The maturity cycle is documented on the bottom of the reference link I have.
Nice series, Cindy
