We discovered this vine growing freely last year, it is beautiful! Blooms are small, about quarter size.
It's European in origin. A couple of additional pics athttp://www.associazionegaia.net/parco_mo...Photo from: http://www.arboretum.sav.sk/sk/dendroexp...http://www.arboretum.sav.sk/files/image/...
This is beautiful. I'd love to know what it is. It looks like a Matelea sp. but doesn't match any of the Matelea sp. listed for Oklahoma (http://plants.usda.gov/checklist.html). The structures curling over the center of the flower are unusual for a Matelea sp.Does this form seedpods in the fall?I'd recommend that you contact someone knowledgeable in Oklahoma to get this identified. You might try the Oklahoma Biological Survey throughhttp://www.biosurvey.ou.edu/
