A worldwide community photographing and learning about wildlife
Amazilia cyanura
Apparent adult. This is a rare visitor to this site, probably during its non-breeding season, or perhaps passing through as a wanderer or migrant. Photo series shows the hummingbird feeding at a yellow-flowered plant (what species is it?).
Ecotone between cloud forest and pine-oak forest. 1850 meters elevation.
Visit to Uyuca Biological Reserve, with Club BioZ. This species and all of the other birds were reported on eBird.org.
