Ratibida pinnata
Slender, hairy-stemmed plant having flower heads with drooping yellow ray flowers and disk flowers forming a cylindrical cone shorter than the rays. It darkens to brown as ray flowers fall. Blooms June through September.
Spotted at Tamarac Visitor Center. It grows in dry woods and prairies.
