Just looked up Kerala & Thrissur on internet and they look very beautiful! I saw the images of the big waterfall and the mask dance festival. Looks like a wonderful place to visit!

Mauna, This was abed of purple Water hyacinths and Red Water Lillies. I saw quite a few Swamp hens and Herons standing on the Lily leaves.

I agree with Yuko. I suddenly want to visit. Where exactly is this place? It's interesting how the vegetation forms a blanket on the water.
Thanks Mauna,yes that looks like an egret. Also on the left side is a purple swamp hen.
Hemma, did you also notice that white bird in the distant center? Looks like an egret. You've got three different birds in one capture! Nice.
