There is no such thing as a 7-lined skink in the US. We have 5-lined skinks, we also have southeastern 5-lined skinks, and we also have broadhead skinks. All are nearly identical in looks, only way to tell them apart is by counting the number of scales on the upper lip and examining the scales on the underside of the tail.
