Gertsch's Arizona Bark Scorpion

Centuroides sculpturatus gertschi

Habitat:

My bed!

Notes:

I woke up to this venomous creature right next to me in bed! My first impulse wasn't to squash it, I grabbed my camera instead. It looks different from the average Arizona Bark Scorpion with its dark back. I did some research on this species and found out that a different looking subspecies can be found North of Phoenix. This is it.
