Description:

The Flower Spider on an Ox-Eye Daisy. Crab spiders wait in ambush for passing insects; some hold their front legs out stretched in readiness. The Flower Spider sits on flowers, and can change color slowly to match the flower.

Habitat:

On flowers. About 1,800 species.

Notes:

Females guard the egg sac but die before the eggs hatch.
