For sure! I went a few months ago and the tern colonies were insanely crowded with birds! It was an incredible sight. I counted 6 tern species in an hour. I hope you find a burrowing owl sometime. I've had luck around the Salton Sea.

Not recently though!! Looked really hard for the burrowing owl. Was looking for large birds.In reality they are tiny.
Bolsa chica is awesome. The brown pelicans fishing and diving for foo was the highlite of the trip!

I agree with a curlew, FYI the one in the background is a willet (Tringa semipalmata)
