The gold dust day gecko is an introduced species in Hawaii. This common gecko can be frequently spotted on Big Island. Due to their attractive bright color, some people keep them as pets.

Habitat:

In Hawaii the gold dust day geckos are mostly sighted on the Big Island, Oahu and Maui. They inhabits various kinds of trees and houses. It's quite common to spot them on balconies since it's one of their favorite hunting ground.
