Hi Charlotte, we know about the problems with the mobile apps, particularly on Android devices. We started on a replacement app but the company which funded it (Amplify) put it on their own devices so we are now looking at another solution. In the meantime you should be able to access the PC version through your mobile browser, it works a lot better than the app.
Ah, I see. No worries! I will pass the information onto the other Rangers. I know there have been some issues with the mobile platforms, but I am not as knowledgeable on the tech related aspects.
I try to enter the both the Scientific name and the common name by the Project Noah app on my android phone, but for some reason after I submit it it comes out blank in the scientific I have mentioned this problem to Project Noah but have gotten no response so for now putting the Scientific name with the Common Name is the only way I can do this unless I go to a computer to submit it which is more time consuming and I have not yet been able to take the time to do.
I noticed several of your spottings have the scientific name in the Common Name section. When you are creating or editing spottings, below the Common Name area is a place for the scientific name. If the scientific name is not entered in to that area, the spotting will be marked as unidentified by the Project Noah database.
I have adjusted this spotting for you. It would be great if you would update the rest of your spottings with the common and scientific names separated. :-) Thank you so much for your understanding!

The spot for the scientific name is actually just below the photos when the spotting is in edit mode.
Nice spotting! Please consider adding this to the Marvelous Mantids of the World mission: http://www.projectnoah.org/missions/1573...
