Foliose Lichen

Description:

The young lichen appeared as small flat green thalli adherent to the rock face (pic 3). The larger thalli were a pale grey with undulating margins, hanging loose from the rocks. the underside of the thalli were a dark brown with small white spots (pic 1)

Habitat:

Spotted on rocks at 1200 mts in a national park (Baw baw NP, Victoria)
