Common Anthelid Caterpillar

Anthela acuta

Description:

possibly 6cm in length. Hairy caterpillar with grizzled clumps of hair. Quite thick. Spots on abdomen sections are white for 60% of the body and pink the rest of the way.

Habitat:

Found after a storm event probably far from food source and others of its kind
