A worldwide community photographing and learning about wildlife
Project Noah Nature School
Dry forest.
About 1 1/2 inches from head to tail.
This looks like a Glowworm Beetle, Genus Phengodes. I am not sure of the species in your area.
Not that big (1 1/2 inches from head to tail), but there are various variations of the same type of insect in the area and would like to know if I am justified in giving them a wide berth!
Looks terrifying how big is it?
