Halyomorpha halys
Halyomorpha halys, also known as the brown marmorated stink bug (BMSB), or simply the stink bug, is an insect in the family Pentatomidae, and it is native to China, Korea, Japan and Taiwan. It was accidentally introduced into the United States, with the first specimen being collected in September 1998. The brown marmorated stink bug is considered to be an agricultural pest, and by 2010-11 had become a season-long pest in U.S. orchards
Being eaten by a spider after being caught in web
This is a case of a predator eating another predator! This stink bug looks more like a Podisus sp. a common predatory stink bug (although I am unsure of the species). The point on the shoulders and the thick beak or rostrum suggests that it's a predatory stink bug. Although it looks VERY similar, BMSB is wider and has distinctive white bands on the antennae. They are often mistaken for Halyomorpha halys.
