Yellow water-lily

Description:

Shiretoko 5 lakes tour, found a smallish yellow colored round flower bud near Ni-go lake. Dark green, glossy like leaves and flowers grow and floats to the water surface with long, flexible and rounded stems.

Habitat:

Aquatic water lilies found in Shiretoko which has five lakes in the area, the plants grow up from the bottom, where extensive rhizomes serve as an overtwining root and embedded at the bottom.
