Colicorto indet

Description:

Length (head to base of tail) = 102 mm Length of tail = 53 mm The specimen is completely gray, the ventral part being much lighter than the dorsal, with a faint reddish tint on the sides of the head. Ears are naked, and mouth and feet are whitish. After discarting any other species of Monodelphis bases on size, coloring and distribution I came across the article: A New Species of the Didelphid Marsupial Genus Monodelphis from Eastern Bolivia by Robert S. Voss, Ronald H. Pine, and Sergio Solari. Considering the resemblance with your description I am now sending this small document to ask for your opinion on the possibility of this specimen being of the same species.

Habitat:

The specimen was caught using a trap for rodents with fried chicken as bait, during an evaluation of the Flora and Fauna on the garbage dump at Riberalta in the Beni department of Bolivia (Bolivian Amazon). The trap was set up about 40 meters from the garbage (x: 826451, Y: 8784237), in an area dominated by a graminea locally known as Sujo (Imperata brasiliensis) close to the neigbouring pastures of a cattle farm, with a diversity of grass-species and small patches of secondary vegetation. The animal was caught at the night between the eleventh a twelveth of february 2013, and after collection without any other preparation was deposited in 70% alcohol for later taxonomic analysis.

I´d be very grateful if anybody could help me confirm my tentative ID of this specimen being Monodelphis sanctaerosae... Any other suggestions would be welcome.
