The name "Gladiolus" is derived from the Latin word "gladius", meaning "sword", for the shape of its leaves. Above spotting is a red gladiola. It turns orange gradually as shown in 3rd pic as it grows old. It is native american flower grown widely in india
Grown in gardens. Requires the combination of shade and sunshine to grow. Does not require moist soil.
