Thanks for the lead! This isn't from Florida, so I will have to try and find a database for Maine
It's a lobelia (Lobelia sp.)
Check http://www.florida.plantatlas.org/ and type 'lobelia' into the field at the top of the page. This will bring up a list of lobelia species with links to each species documented for Florida. Good luck!
