Helianthus giganteus
perennial; fall blooming yellow ray flowers are about 2 to 3 inches across, 10 to 20 petals & darker yellow center; several flowers branching off at the top of the plant, each at the end of a stalk; leaves are rough textured & slender about 18 cm long & 3 cm across & toothed; stem is hardy enough to hold stalks that get to be 10 feet tall & reddish purple
