Description:

a smaller cultivar of the Southern Magnolia; broadleaf evergreen, compact, dense oval shaped; large white fragrant flowers; leaf is about 13 cm dark green, leathery, waxy on top and fuzzy on the bottom; fuzzy brown cones exposed after flower drops in fall revealing bright red fleshy seeds

Habitat:

planted on school grounds, in full sun

Notes:

cultivar, slow grower; seeds are used by a variety of wildlife
