Description:

A common resident of Sungei Buloh Wetland Reserve, it is Singapore's largest kingfisher spesies. The large red bill is excellent for seizing live fish from the river water. This bird is regularly seen perched on overhanging mangrove branches where it hunts for live fish. (quoted from " A Guide to Sungei Buloh Wetland Reserve", by NParks' Publication)
