Description:

The bulbul is a very popular bird in folktales and Hindi and Urdu poetry. Of the many kinds of bulbuls,the commonest one,found throughout the country is the Red-vented Bulbul,it is a cheerful brown bird with a black head and a crest on top. The Red-vented Bulbul has a red patch below the tail.

Habitat:

Gardens,light scrub near human habitation.
