Description:

It is approximately 15 cm long. The popular name probably refers to a black collar in the middle part of the plumage. The upper body is brownish. The beak is black and long legs are pinkish-clear.

Habitat:

It is found throughout Brazil on sandy beaches of rivers and ocean beaches.
