Hello Denise18. Based on the information you supplied for the location of your spotting I moved the map marker (from the ocean) to South Salt Lake City, Utah. While it's been some time since that last comments were made on your spotting, there were some outstanding requests for information. Supplying this and/or an update might help us to identify it. Thanks
Hello Denise18 and Welcome to the Project Noah community! You have to edit the spotting again and put a location on the map,ok? We hope you like the website as much as we do. There are many aspects to the site and community. The best way to get started is to read the FAQs at http://www.projectnoah.org/faq where you can find all the tips, advice and "rules" of Project Noah. You, like the rest of the community, will be able to suggest IDs for species that you know (but that have not been identified), and make useful or encouraging comments on other users' spottings (and they on yours). There are also "missions" you can join and add spottings to. See http://www.projectnoah.org/missions . A mission you should join is the http://www.projectnoah.org/missions/2166... to chose the best wild photo of 2017,only the spottings added to that mission are eligible.Note that most missions are "local". Be sure not to add a spotting to a mission that was outside of mission boundaries or theme :) Each mission has a map you may consult showing its range. We also maintain a blog archive http://blog.projectnoah.org/ where we have posted previous articles from specialists from different geographical areas and categories of spottings, as well as wildlife "adventures". So enjoy yourself, share, communicate, learn. See you around :)
South Salt Lake City, Utah USA I found this just outside my garden on the pavement. It feels like hard plastic and is still alive to this day. November 30th. It is getting larger. It almost looks as if it might morph into something. It continues to move, though very slow.

Also, how long was it?
Denise, is it still on the pavement? Was or is it in any standing water, even just a tiny, shallow puddle?
Can you post more photos with different angles?

The location is pinned right in the middle of the Pacific ocean! Can you please change this and give some information on the spotting.

Can we have a exact location, like which country, state, province?
I found this creature in my garden. I have no idea what it is. It squirms like a sea creature, but I'm in the desert !
