Description:

My first time seeing a yellow violet here. There were several plants in this patch, but only this one flower was in bloom.

Habitat:

Next to the trail about 100 or so feet from a lake.

Notes:

There are two species of yellow violets found on Kodiak, the other being the Twin-flower Violet (Viola biflora).
