Leucauge venusta
Spider with a long black and white abdomen. The underside is very colorful, a hint of the color is visible in the first picture. Very small spider of about 5 mm.
River Ravine of the Corazon del Fortin, Fortin de Las Flores, Veracruz, Mexico.
Thank you ForestDragon for the identification. Now that I've seen the link site I realize I have seen this before, hanging in it's web and I could see all the colors on the underside. This one could be an immature or very young? It was so small.
Lauren, nice find! These spiders are just gorgeous even though they aren't very large. The "white" areas on the abdomen are actually metallic silver.
