Spotting

Description:

In my observations I recorded this insect having- 6 legs Black body Red bumps on the back Around 3 cm. size Ant-Like shape No hair I took a closer look at its back and found some very interesting red bumps. If anyone could help me ID this species and explain to me the function of those red bumbs it would be very helpful, thank you.

Habitat:

The Bukit Timah nature reserve in Singapore. I found this insect digging under a pile of leaves in the reserve. It was crawling among dead leaves and plants when I found it.
