Description:

Lymantriinae, Erebidae, Lepidoptera The male tussock moth has scaleless forewings; the female is more conventionally winged. Typically of Lymantriid moths, neither sex has functioning mouthparts and do not feed as adults. Energy reserves are stored from their caterpillar days.
